Overcoming the Root of All Evil II
Stewardship Salvation and the Root of All Evil
“The love of money is the root of all evil.”
I Tim. 6:10 KJV
Previously we introduced the teaching on Stewardship Salvation. I have wanted to share a bit more of what the Spirit has said behind this message and really want to develop it much more fully, and believe this will happen later. But for now, here is what can be told. The Lord tells us that He is the “Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end.” In truth, the end of the story is very closely connected to the beginning of the story. One can only rightly understand the end from the beginning when they are understood in light of each other. And this applies to understanding the nearing end of satanic rule as we know it along with the transition from death to immortality.
To understand the end of satanic rule, we have to understand its beginning. And to understand the transition from death to immortality we have to understand the original transition from immortality to death. The dual transitions of satanic rule and the onset of death in the earth are of one essence.
What we are really talking about is understanding the end of all evil in relationship to the root of all evil. According to Paul, the root of evil is “the love of money.” This means that the end of all evil is to see salvation from the love of money. It is why stewardship salvation is the final stage of salvation that precipitates life out of death, and why therefore the final cataclysms of human history involve the rise and conquering of a world commercial system.
Paul says that “death comes by sin” and also that “the last enemy to be overcome is death.” If death is the last enemy to be overcome, then the last sin to be overcome leading to the abolition of death is the root sin that produced the evil of death in the first place. That root sin is the love of money.
It is easy to see in scripture the end of evil in the world. The Book of Revelation clearly details the overcoming of death in conjunction with the overcoming of the final sinful commercial system under satanic control (the kingdoms of this world). But where can we go in scripture to see the root of all evil that produced sin and death in the first place? It is not in the book of Genesis! Nothing appears in the beginning of the Bible detailing the onset of what Paul described as the universal root of all evil.
The only place we can go in scripture (that I have seen anyway) to behold the onset of the root of all evil in the universe is the obscure chapter Ezekiel 28. In this chapter, Ezekiel outlines the fall of Lucifer in the form of the King of Tyre and what was at the root of that fall:
1 The word of the LORD came again to me, saying, 2 “Son of man, say to the leader of Tyre, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “Because your heart is lifted up And you have said, ‘I am a god, I sit in the seat of gods In the heart of the seas;’ Yet you are a man and not God, Although you make your heart like the heart of God – 3 Behold, you are wiser than Daniel; There is no secret that is a match for you. 4 By your wisdom and understanding You have acquired riches for yourself And have acquired gold and silver for you treasuries. 5 By your great wisdom, by your trade You have increased your riches And your heart is lifted up because of your riches. 12—You had the seal of perfection, Full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. 13 You were in Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone was your covering: --On the day that you were created They were prepared. 14 You were the anointed cherub who covers, And I placed you there. You were on the holy mountain of God; You walked in the midst of the stones of fire. 15 You were blameless in your ways From the day you were created Until unrighteousness was found in you. 16 By the abundance of your trade You were internally filled with violence. And you sinned; Therefore I have cast you as profane From the mountain of God. And I have destroyed you, O covering cherub. From the midst of the stones of fire. 17 Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; You corrupted your wisdom by reason of your splendor. I cast you to the ground; I put you before kings, That they may see you. 18 By the multitude of your iniquities, In the unrighteousness of your trade You profaned your sanctuaries. Therefore I have brought fire from the midst of you; It has consumed you. And I have turned you to ashes on the earth. In the eyes of all who see you. 19 All who know you among the peoples Are appalled at you; You have become terrified And you will cease to be forever.”
Please note carefully the passages underlined and in bold. These passages reveal the root of all evil of which Paul was speaking. We are not much aware of this but among the heavenly creation existed and remain both riches of a heavenly substance and a system of trade and stewardship of such riches.
As the chief stewarding angel over the creation as well as the chief worship leader of the heavenly host, Lucifer was a skilled trader merchant in the heavenly kingdom economy and the most wealthy in heavenly substances of all angelic creatures. But we learn that his heart turned by his abundant possession of this heavenly wealth to devise an unrighteous, counterfeit trading scheme within the heavenly economy in which by violence (ie, the conducting of a trade war involving one third of the angels) he would usurp the heavenly economy and set himself up as ruler in heaven, displacing God.
What we see in this obscure prophecy tells us everything we need to know to understand why earth is what it is today and since the fall of man. Consider well. Not only was man created in God’s image, but earth was created in the image of heaven. In Eden, all the elements were present that mirrored the elements of heaven by which economy could be manifest on earth as it was in heaven. Satan, as Lucifer, had a chief stewardship in regard to the earthside manifestation of the heavenly economy. This is the breath-taking portrayal Ezekiel paints for us.
So when in time the heavenly plot was hatched, then uncovered, then cast out of heaven, it was imported to earth once satan succeeded in luring man into sin through the same power of covetousness satan had already displayed. This is hard to fathom, but the eating of that single fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil spawned the entirety of everything earth has seen since by way of deceptive violence-laden trade wars and acquisition of empires. The entire fiat monetary lending class in the world and its control over the governments of mankind through seductive hidden contract is traced here.
Now note this final decree from vs. 18: “Therefore I have brought fire from the midst of you; It has consumed you, And I have turned you to ashes on the earth In the eyes of all who see you.” In a single sentence, the Lord has written all that the book of Revelation has to say about the destruction of the final beast system in atomic warfare and its casting into the Lake of Fire (Rev. 16:1-21; 19:20-21; 20:10). But what I want us to glean from this is the vital role stewardship salvation plays leading to our glorification and occupancy of the earth with Christ in place of Lucifer.
Historically, salvation has been seen with respect to sin only as an indwelling spiritual power from which we must be delivered. But we have not comprehended it relative to our deliverance from the “root of all evil,” a deliverance that requires our going up against the ultimate manifestation of that evil in the earth out of which man’s return to immortality is to be birthed.
Please meditate on all this long and hard. It will go miles to help you reorient to what God is really doing “out there” among the tottering kingdoms of the world and your relationship to their failing economies.
